This collection was created as a sustainable ready-to-wear collection. I focused on limiting sizing, using natural dyes, and organic fibers as a solution to the damaging practices of the fast fashion industry. I also created a digital design journal that includes samples and processes of natural dyeing.
BDC COMPETITION 2020: ADONIS BEAUTY
In a group of four artists, designs, and sustainability enthusiasts, we tackled the unethical and unhealthy habits of the cosmetics industry. The BDC is a competition that takes place in New York and encourages young creatives and scientists to work together to come up with creative solutions to modern issues. Our team decided to come up with creative ways to create pigments for an eyeshadow pallet by looking at one of the most colorful creates—butterflies. We researched existing and emerging technology, packaging solutions, and did experimentations.
